7.SP.4 Students will tackle an age old comparison of boys vs. girls to gain some new insights into how close or far apart the genders truly are.
7.SP.2 Students will be conducting multiple samples of data and then comparing the samples to see what insights they offer for the larger population.
7.SP.1 Students will conduct surveys to collect data and then see what knowledge they can gain from the collected data about a larger population.
7.G.3 Students will go on a walk around school and discover what 3-Dimensional shapes are all around and then construct and discover what 2-Dimensional shapes make them up.
7.NS.1,3 The students will compare extreme temperatures in the U.S. and then discovering other extreme temperatures in the world to compare further.
7.SP.5 Students will predict the likelihood of chance events happening.
7.SP.3 The students will compare two sets of data both visually and statistically to gain insights.
7.EE.1,2 The students will be creating a business that sells a product they create and design. They will then use math to price and predict sales of their products.
7.G.2 Students will attempt to construct triangles and then choose which of those triangles would be useful in engineering solutions to real world problems.
7.G.5 Students will look at images of skateboarders performing tricks and attempt to find the measure of angles that relate to the trick.
7.RP.1,2 Students will love to play the role of the detective in this lesson as they use their rates/slope/linear equations skills to solve the mystery of who the thief is.
7.SP.5,6,7,8 In this lesson students will play a game with dice and examine the probability to discover a strategy that gives them the best chance of winning.
