Linear Roller Coasters

Description: Students will watch videos of roller coasters and attempt to hypothesize how long it would to take for two roller coasters to crash into each other if they were overlapping. Students will utilize the concepts of Linear Equations, Systems of Equations, Slope, and Y-Intercept to accomplish this.

Graphing Running

In this lesson students will mathematically visualize their running by graphing it. The lesson focuses on comparing linear and nonlinear progressions (constant vs. variable rate of change) as well as simply reading graphs and interpreting what they are showing you and even some prediction.
